Drug to extend life span of mammals?

A new drug derived from bacteria found in the soil on Easter Island has been shown to substantially extend the life span of mice. The drug, Rapamycin, even works when administered late in life and has been shown to extend the life span of males by 9% and females by 13%.

Men not needed to procreate?

Scientists claim to have grown human sperm in a lab. An advancement which may lead to a better understanding of infertility. The sperm was created by treating male embryonic stem cells with a range of substance’s causing the stem cell to mature into sperm. Critics point out that all mice born from the artificial sperm only lived five months. Tests are now being carried out to see if the same problem occurs in humans. The possibility of procreating with out the aid of men has sparked a debate on the implications.

A technology used exclusively by doctors to monitor brain waves is being used to create more and more devices that enable the wearer to interact with reality strictly through brain waves or thought. This leads me to ask if mankind can make devices that pick up and respond to brain waves has mankind ever possessed the innate ability to pick up on these transmitted brain waves?
